February 15, 2010

IT'S CRUNCH TIME!
The House and Senate have each passed a budget bill.  There is now a conference committee made up of members of the House and Senate that will come up with one version of the budget.  Right now, the Senate version calls for over $666 million more in public education funding over the next two years than the House version does.
Please, follow the next three links to send an e-mail to:

1) Conference Committee members from the House asking them to adopt the Senate budget.  Click here.
2) Conference Committee members from the Senate asking them to adopt the Senate budget.  Click here.

If the House version is passed, hundreds of teachers will be let go in Virginia Beach, and class sizes will increase dramatically!  Please, Please, Please, ACT NOW!!
